听力录音稿及试题参考答案

Text 1

W: John, I’m freezing! The forecast was for warm weather today.

M: But you should always be prepared for all kinds of weather.

Text 2

W: What can I do for you?

M: I have an urgent letter to send to Germany. Will the letter go straight to Germany?

W: Yes, you can send it by registered express airmail.

Text 3

M: How much are the tickets?

W: They are eight dollars each for the general public, but for children who are below 1.2 meters, the tickets are half price.

M: All right. I want to buy three general tickets and two children’s tickets.

Text 4

W: How are you getting on with your work?

M: Not very well. The truth is, I can’t put up with my boss. He is so mean. He gives us too much work but he doesn’t pay us enough. I intend to find another place to work.

W: I am sorry to hear that.

Text 5

M: Mary, how did you like the movie last night?

W: I must admit that I dozed off after the first thirty minutes. It wasn’t as good as I expected. I should have stayed at home.

Text 6

W: Good afternoon, my name’s Diana. I’m the general manager of the personnel department. Please have a seat.

M: Nice to meet you. My name is Peter.

W: Well, Peter, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Tell me about your work experience.

M: I’ve been a manager at Nike for four years.

W: OK. Tell me about your strengths and your personality.

M: I’m good at solving problems. I also love challenges. If something goes wrong, I always remain calm. I’ve never lost my temper.

W: Peter, you seem like a very good manager. You are very confident. We like that here in our company.

Text 7

M: Helen, I want to have a word with you.

W: Is it about the appointment last night? Forget it! It doesn’t really matter.

M: But I must say sorry to you. I didn’t mean to break my word. I was about to leave home yesterday when my mother suddenly passed out. I took her to the hospital and looked after her all night. It was not until this morning that I remembered my date with you.

W: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Is she OK now?

M: She’s all right. But I’m terribly sorry to have kept you waiting last night!

W: I quite understand. It’s not your fault, but don’t forget to call me up next time if you can’t come.

M: All right.

Text 8

M: This is going to be a great camping trip. I haven’t been to this mountain since I was a young boy. I remember    how peaceful it was and how great everything smelled. And the fishing was the most wonderful! My brother and I used to catch some big fish and fry them over the fire.

W: Yeah, Dad, we’ve heard this story since we were babies—peaceful scenery, good smell, fish, everything. I’m glad   you can enjoy your old memories. But you aren’t going to make me fish with you, are you?

M: Of course, and I’m sure you are going to like fishing. You’ll just love it! Putting the worm on the hook, standing    out in the cold water, and waiting until the fish take a bite. Hmm, on second thought, maybe you won’t like it so    much. Why don’t you just cook the fish for tonight’s dinner?

W: I guess I could do that. Anyway, when are we going to get there? I feel like we’ve been driving for hours.

M: It’s just around this corner. You’ll really love it. Hey, wait a minute! What’s this shopping center doing in my old fishing spot?!

Text 9

W: You mustn’t touch the wet paint, Bill.

M: I’m sorry, Mrs. Fox. I won’t do it again.

W: Try to be more careful in future.

M: I shall. I wasn’t as careless as John. He walked across that wet floor paint over there.

W: The workmen oughtn’t leave it at all without a notice.

M: The headmaster asked them not to do so.

W: Then why isn’t there a notice?

M: They went to their store to get one. Here they come with it now!

W: But look at them! They’ve forgotten about the wet floor paint and they’re walking across it to put up the notice!

Text 10

W: Many teenagers feel that the most important people in their lives are their friends. They believe that their family members, especially their parents, don’t know them as well as their friends do. In large families, it is usual for brothers and sisters to fight with each other and then they can only go to their friends for advice. It is very important for teenagers to have one or many good friends. Even when they are not with their friends, they usually spend a lot of time talking among themselves on the phone. This communication is very important in children’s growing up, because friends discuss somethings that are difficult to say to their family members. However, parents often try to choose their children’s friends for them. Some parents may even stop their children from meeting their good friends. The question of “choice” is an interesting one. Have you ever thought of the following questions?

Who chooses your friends?

Do you choose your friends or do your friends choose you?

Have you got a good friend your parents don’t like?

My Opinion on Cheating in Examinations

It’s known to us all that some students cheat in examinations at school.

As students, we often take examinations at school, but sometimes we have too many examinations which are too difficult for us. On the other hand, some of us are lazy and don’t work hard at their lessons. So when taking examinations, they sometimes cheat in order to get better results to please their parents and teachers.

In my opinion, it is wrong to cheat in examinations because it breaks the rules of schools. We students should be honest and try to get good results by studying hard instead of cheating in examinations. What’s more, we should improve our study methods and get well prepared for examinations.

As(介词as的运用使得作者的语言素质得到很好的体现)students, we often take examinations at school, but sometimes(连词使得文章的整体性得到加强,sometimes这个副词的运用也使得语言的表达更加准确)we have too many examinations which are too difficult for uswhich引导的是一个定语从句,这个主从句的运用使得句式复杂化,能够为文章赢得一定的分数)。On the other hand(这个插入语的运用一是加强了文章的前后衔接,二是使得高级词汇在文章得以体现),some of us are lazy and don’t work hard at their lessons. So when taking examinations(这个句子结构的采用有利于提高整体得分),they sometimes cheat in order to get better results to please their parents and teachers.

In my opinion(这个短语的出现使得文章的思路很清晰,而且这也属于高级的词汇)“it is wrong to cheat in examinations because it breaks the rules of schools. We student should be honest and try to get good results by studying hard instead of(高级词汇,属于文章的又一亮点)cheating in examinations. What’s more(使得文章衔接紧密,思路清晰),we should improve our study methods and get well prepared for examinations.
